When brown turned her attention to clay, she found her love of honing technique and somatic feedback led to an innate understanding of the material - and a compulsion to know it more exhaustively. Clay affords her a means to explore form while inciting interplay and tension between such dichotomies as methodology and abandon, refinement and elaboration, balance and asymmetry.
In 2024 brown was granted her first solo exhibition, was an attending artist at the School of Visual Arts Sculpture Residency in New York, and gained representation at Hecho A Mano Gallery in Santa Fe. 2025 carries forward and expands the signature language of former work to bring a new bodies of sculpture to completion.
